Family and Matrimonial Law We hear that over a third of all relationships break down.  These are not the most pleasant situations a lawyer has to deal with, but at Websterlaw, we are able to advise you on your rights and obligations, no matter what your situation.  We can negotiate with the lawyer for your partner/spouse and advise you on finalising an agreement.  We do not do any court litigation as this is a specialised skill but can refer you to skilled family law barristers who we have every confidence in, brief them on the issues and ride shotgun, if needed during any court hearings.  Of course, we also do "pre-nups" or contracting out agreements where the relationship has not broken down and both parties are wanting to amicably divide their assets.  Typically, we see these situations when there is a second or subsequent relationship and both parties are wanting to protect themselves from any future heartaches.  It is also important to ensure children from previous relationships are safeguarded.  We also look at the bigger picture and include where necessary property sharing agreements, wills, memoranda of wishes, trusts and any other legal device we see as necessary for you to achieve the desired end result.
